CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A barber shop owner accused of firing his gun at a group of suspected robbers last week is now facing charges.

A surveillance camera at the corner of Bradford Drive and Cantwell Street in Charlotte captured the incident.
Police say 30-year-old Brandon Kennedy is seen in the video running after the red car with a gun in hand.
One of the bullets struck the car of an innocent bystander, shattering the windshield.
“They look like they just hit something. I saw one person. By the time I looked back to the right, one other person came around the building and I just started hearing gunshots,” Naquala Evans told NBC Charlotte.
Evans wasn’t hurt but the bullet hit where her 4-year-old son usually sits in his booster seat. He was not in the car at the time.
Kennedy is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
He has an extensive criminal history. Kennedy was arrested at least four other times in the past two years on charges ranging from drug possession to resisting arrest.
