Panthers Defeat Lions, Deactivate Hardy

The Carolina Panthers  are now 2-0 after Sunday’s victory of the Detroit Lions.  The win was successful without defensive end, Greg Hardy. Head coach, Rivera made the decision  to place Hardy on the inactive list hours before the home opener.

“I know y’all are wondering [about Greg Hardy],” Rivera said after Carolina’s 24-7 victory against Detroit. “I made the decision this morning. It was my decision because it was in the best interest of the Carolina Panthers.”

Hardy was found guilty in July by a judge of assaulting and threatening ex-girlfriend Nicole Holder. Hardy is set to appeal that conviction later this year. No word if Hardy will play next week against the Steelers.
